If its splendid ‘Sound of Music' alpine views and the shrill of bush birds you seek, then Doug Fraser's authentic country pub on the crest of the Old Warburton Highway has the best balcony views across the simply magnificent Yarra Valley. The Valley drips in lumber, farming and rail history and this great museum is home to part of the Upper Yarra Historical Society's collection and is open on Sunday afternoons, public holidays or by appointment. It hosts the annual "Vintage Engine Crank-Up", which is held usually in late March.
